Peter spent twenty five years training, practicing and teaching as a medical doctor. He completed his basic medical degree at the University of British Columbia. After finishing an Internship in New Zealand, he returned to Canada to become a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. During his forties, Peter underwent an unexpected and challenging personal and professional transformation. Propelled by a need for change and an urge for more mindfulness and intimacy, he relinquished his Clinical Assistant Professorship with the Department of Medicine at U.B.C. and retired from his medical practice. In addition to his work with Mortifee Training, Peter is the Chair and a founding member of the Somerset Foundation, a charitable organization involved in various activities related to social justice, health, education and environmental sustainability. He is active with the ManKind Project in British Columbia.
